About the Role

Datadog is looking for a Director, Customer Success to lead and develop multiple teams, coaching first-line managers and individual contributors to success. You’ll balance high-level strategy with detailed execution to build alignment, trust, and customer retention at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain accurate team forecasts.
  • Coach and guide teams through renewal and expansion negotiations.
  • Take ultimate ownership of all account relationships and manage customer and team escalations.
  • Motivate teams to proactively foster customer relationships and drive consistent trust and revenue growth.
  • Build a set of proactive managers focused on effective communication both internally and externally.
  • Prioritize talent attraction, retention, and development to create an ecosystem of high-performing teams.
  • Manage competing priorities in an ever-changing environment, demonstrating strong prioritization.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years managing managers.
  • 2+ years overseeing a high-performing team of Customer Success Managers.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the SaaS space.

Nice to Have

  • 8+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management.
  • Proven track record of success in negotiating and coaching contract terms and overcoming pricing objections for renewal and up-sell opportunities.
  • Familiar with the B2B tech space or with subscription-based software.
