This role leads legal strategy and governance for the company, handling corporate compliance, contracts, regulatory matters, and cross-functional legal support to enable business growth and operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder matters
- Oversee the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures
- Manage legal risks associated with product development and service delivery
- Advise executive teams on regulatory compliance in digital health and data privacy
- Negotiate and draft complex commercial and partnership agreements
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international laws
- Direct outside counsel and manage legal budgets
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Lead responses to regulatory inquiries and legal investigations
- Collaborate with compliance teams on audit readiness and reporting
- Develop legal training programs for internal stakeholders
- Monitor evolving healthcare and technology regulations
- Provide guidance on intellectual property matters
- Support corporate ethics and integrity initiatives
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution strategies
- Oversee data protection and cybersecurity legal requirements
- Work with HR on employment law and executive compensation issues
- Ensure proper corporate recordkeeping and filings
- Assist in crisis management and incident response planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends in telehealth and SaaS
