Responsibilities
- Create and implement a community engagement plan to establish and deepen partnerships with national and regional organizations focused on Native and Tribal communities, supporting Feeding America's mission and policy objectives.
- Oversee a portfolio of national and regional partners, identifying new partnership and coalition opportunities to enhance collaboration and advance policies and programs addressing food insecurity disparities, particularly in Native and Tribal communities, including advocacy, fundraising, and media.
- Work with the broader Community Partnerships team to implement a grant-making strategy that strengthens local food systems and partnerships.
- Collaborate across departments such as government relations, marketing and communications, advocacy, and development to ensure community perspectives are integrated into internal planning and initiatives.
- Partner with other departments to gather field insights and build consensus on best practices for strengthening communities and addressing disparities in Native and Tribal communities, facilitating connections with national partners and local network members.
- Develop and facilitate webinars and digital convenings for internal and external partners on timely topics related to Native and Tribal communities as part of the Community Partnerships learning agenda.
- Represent Feeding America at conferences, forums, convenings, coalition meetings, similar events, and in media.
- Manage Community Engagement team projects, including technical assistance, resource creation, briefings, proposals, and capturing partner priorities and learnings.
