Jobgether is looking for a Director, Commercial Legal to lead our commercial legal function supporting high-impact go-to-market operations. You will drive the strategy and execution for a broad range of commercial agreements while fostering a supportive, collaborative, and mission-driven work environment.
What You'll Do
- Negotiate, draft, and manage commercial agreements with customers, partners, suppliers, and vendors to support business goals.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to revenue teams, including enterprise, mid-market, and commercial sales, as well as customer success and professional services.
- Lead operational enhancements for contracting processes, software integrations, data reporting, and other go-to-market legal functions.
- Define and implement commercial legal metrics, optimizing performance indicators such as time to markup, time to close, and deal size.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal teams, providing training, coaching, and mentorship to legal staff.
- Support complex or strategic litigation matters and intellectual property issues as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve legal issues in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What We're Looking For
- JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
- 12+ years of relevant legal experience, with progressive responsibility in-house.
- Proven expertise in commercial agreements and intellectual property licenses, including SaaS, partnership, professional services, and vendor contracts.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, AI, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience driving operational processes, systems, and scalable legal solutions.
- Excellent ability to manage priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor team members.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with a commercial mindset.
