1110 Kite Pharma, Inc. is hiring a Director, Analytical Operations to direct and execute scientific research for the development of drug candidates and the research support of marketed drugs. In this leadership role, you will advance state-of-the-art analytical techniques to characterize substances, assays, and tools, contributing directly to our mission to cure cancer.
What You'll Do
- Direct and execute scientific research for the development of drug candidates or the research support of marketed drugs.
- Investigate the feasibility of applying advanced scientific principles and techniques to products and problems.
- Advance the development of state-of-the-art techniques to characterize substances, assays, and tools.
- Plan, design, implement, and analyze laboratory experimentation to advance scientific knowledge of drug substances or drug products.
- Direct Research Associates or project teams in laboratory experimentation, considering economic, regulatory, and safety factors.
- Work on a wide range of complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables, ingenuity, and creativity.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of principles and theories, applying such knowledge to support company interests.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and independent thought in suggesting experimental design and research strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Doctorate and 8+ years of relevant experience OR
- Master’s and 10+ years of relevant experience OR
- Bachelor’s and 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to think critically and creatively and work independently.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to determine appropriate resources for problem resolution.
- Excellent scientific communication skills (both verbal and technical) and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- Greater responsibility for cross-department or cross-function interactions to develop solutions to issues in drug development.
- Experience contributing scientific knowledge and leadership across functions in the NDA process.
- Experience serving as a resource to management on scientific strategy and experiment design.
- Experience serving as an authority for documents used in regulatory filings.

- Compensation range: $205,615 - $266,090
