At Wealthsimple, we’re on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining money management. We’re looking for a Director of Advice Innovation & Experience to join our Wealth Management team. You will be responsible for defining and building the next generation of high-touch, premium advice experiences for our high-net-worth and most complex clients. This is a true 0-to-1 role where you will design, manually launch, and prove new services before handing them off to be scaled.
What You'll Do
- Define what a ‘5-star’ experience looks like in wealth management by designing genuinely differentiated client journeys.
- Incubate and personally run new advice services manually at a small scale before operationalizing them.
- Stay ahead of the evolving advice and wealth management landscape, bringing intelligence back to leadership.
- Build external partnerships that expand Wealthsimple’s offering to its most complex clients.
- Arm advisors and sales teams with rapid prototypes of tools needed to win and retain high-value clients.
- Prove commercial impact by designing pilots with clear metrics like AUM growth, conversion, and satisfaction.
- Work directly with the VP of Wealth Management and senior leadership to shape the future of our premium advice offering.
- Launch and personally run the first iterations of services that will eventually reach hundreds of thousands of clients.
- Inform Wealthsimple’s long-term product roadmap by surfacing validated client demand from real pilots.
- Operate across all three of our advice models: Scaled, Dedicated, and On-Demand.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in service design, strategy, innovation, or premium client experience.
- Proven track record of taking a service concept from idea to live pilot (true 0-to-1 experience).
- Demonstrated ability to use modern technology, including AI tools and low-code/no-code platforms, to rapidly prototype and test solutions.
- Experience developing or managing strategic partnerships with external service providers.
- Strong commercial instincts and ability to design pilots that prove measurable ROI.
- Experience working alongside scaled operational teams and transitioning V1 pilots into standardized, scalable processes.
- Familiarity with the wealth management landscape, including different advice models and what HNW clients value.
- Comfort working in regulated environments and partnering with compliance teams.
- Outstanding communication skills to influence executives, inspire advisors, and earn trust.
