Happy Money is hiring a Digital Production Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the Digital Services team. You'll be responsible for keeping over 500 Planned Giving Microsites running smoothly while continuously improving how the team works. This role combines hands-on technical execution with rigorous project coordination and process ownership, acting as the link between partners, internal strategists, and contract developers.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner requests, managing intake, setting expectations, and providing clear status updates.
- Coordinate work across contract developers by scoping requests, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Execute design and development work directly, including building and modifying sites in WordPress, creating visual assets, and writing clean HTML/CSS/JS.
- Own project tracking and documentation in Notion, maintaining accurate records of decisions, partner context, and project status.
- Build and refine operational systems, including intake workflows, QC checklists, handoff processes, and documentation standards.
- Handle bespoke and one-off requests with flexibility, problem-solving edge cases while flagging patterns for new processes.
- QC completed work for accuracy, brand consistency, and basic accessibility before delivery.
- Communicate proactively, clearly, and with empathy with partners and internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Operational obsession: notice inefficiencies, document learnings, and build systems to make future work easier.
- Real web design and development chops: fluent in HTML and CSS, with strong JavaScript experience using React and Next.js.
- Experience building websites from scratch, not just editing templates.
- Comfort working in WordPress, GitHub, and moving between design tools and code editors.
- Agency generalist background with experience being a designer, developer, and project manager.
- Excellent written communication for different audiences, from partners to developers.
- Comfort with ambiguity and change, adapting without losing grip on priorities.
- Attention to detail and follow-through, catching errors and closing loops.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Notion, Figma, or similar tools for project management and design collaboration.
- Familiarity with domains, DNS, analytics platforms, or accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Background in nonprofit tech, SaaS, or B2B environments.
- Experience managing or coordinating contractors or freelancers.
