Black & Veatch is hiring a Digital Product Management Leader to define and execute the strategy for multiple enterprise-grade, AI-powered software products. This role involves establishing and leading a team of product managers, collaborating closely with business partners, UX, and Engineering to deliver measurable value.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the business to identify key problem statements and competitive opportunities.
- Translate enterprise strategy into clear product objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Run Working Backwards / PR‑FAQ and business case validation for new opportunities.
- Shape multi‑year product strategy and define portfolio-level prioritization criteria.
- Secure and steward funding, aligning investments with product value hypotheses.
- Define product vision, buyer-user personas, value proposition, impact metrics, and user journey maps.
- Establish MVP scope, iterative maturation paths, quarterly objectives, and measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain the product backlog, applying WSJF or equivalent prioritization methods.
- Maintain a portfolio lens for efficient resource utilization.
- Drive adoption of strong UX design principles for research, discovery, and user engagement.
- Partner with Engineering on feasibility assessments, technology selections, and architecture strategy.
- Lead teams through sprint planning, execution, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Establish definition of done, A/B testing for AI features, monitor model health, and build feedback loops.
- Establish quality criteria covering user-facing capabilities and non-functional needs like performance, security, and observability.
- Coordinate dependencies across teams, manage risk, and represent the product team at executive forums.
- Publish product release notes and communicate decisions, including trade-offs, with clarity.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained, including onboarding materials and user help.
- Develop resources to build trust in AI solutions with transparency on decision derivation.
- Be an evangelist for the product, leveraging internal and external forums to communicate with stakeholders and the industry.
- Partner with Cloud, Architecture, and Information Security teams to embed resiliency, privacy, and auditability.
- Ensure adherence to AI governance frameworks, including ethical standards.
- Govern SLO/SLI/SLA targets and ensure diagnostics, telemetry, and incident response processes.
- Supervise the work of others and be responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years in product management or platform leadership for multi-tenant SaaS, internal platforms, or large-scale shared services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
