The Walt Disney Company is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to support Disney brands by developing fan-first editorial, social engagement, and creator strategies. In this role, you will manage community engagement, UGC sourcing, and campaign execution, fostering deep audience connections across our flagship entertainment platforms.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the monthly community engagement calendar across assigned platforms.
- Execute daily community engagement tactics including outreach, surprise & delight opportunities, and UGC sourcing.
- Manage owned post engagements as well as outbound engagement opportunities to fans and talent; ensure appropriate reviews and approvals.
- Write engagement-focused copy and recommend creative assets aligned with campaign and brand goals.
- Stay abreast of digital trends, fan behaviors, platform innovations and cultural moments to inform strategy and execution.
- Route all assets to necessary stakeholders for internal approvals and clearly communicate feedback.
- Deliver all final approved assets and copy to relevant partners while ensuring publishing timing and tagging aligns with wider marketing plans.
- Work with brand teams on developing creator content for owned social platforms tied to priorities or campaigns.
- Support brand digital teams on event community engagement moments as needed.
- Liaise daily with broader digital and content teams to support amplification and engagement of studio and franchise priorities.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams through the lifecycle of content development, from strategy to final execution.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2+ years social media or community management experience within consumer-facing media or a global brand.
- Strong writing and copyediting skills with a clear understanding of brand voice and tone.
- Familiarity with digital trends, fandom culture, and social platform best practices.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and working within approval workflows.
- Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking.
- Superior knowledge of social platforms and their native products.
- Ability to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Box.
- Understanding of Social Media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to use sound judgement.
- BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, and/or relevant field, or 5+ years of experience in addition to the 2+ years above.
- Familiarity with The Walt Disney Company’s brand and content.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with tools like AirTable, Smartsheets, and/or Zendesk.
- Experience in Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, Google Slides.
- Experience within brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services.
- Previous experience working with large, matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with theatrical campaign marketing, streaming platforms, or brand marketing.

Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary range: $64,300.00 to $86,200.00
