Steampunk is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our expanding DevSecOps practice. In this role, you will deliver key features for cloud and application development initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Establish development tools and infrastructure for automation.
- Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers.
- Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Test and examine code written by others and analyze the results.
- Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and fixes.
- Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes.
- Support enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code, including automated server/network configuration, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring/testing (CI/CD).
- Document the as-is state of the environment, perform gap analysis, and produce artifacts outlining options and recommendations.
- Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems.
- Act as an individual contributor and mentor team members.
What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of experience with cloud platform services.
- 5-7 years of experience with DevSecOps practices, including build/release management, CI/CD, and process automation.
