Jobgether is looking for a DevOps Manager to lead and scale a high-performing team responsible for the reliability, automation, and security of our modern, AWS-based infrastructure. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, partnering with engineering and product teams to embed DevOps best practices early in the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps and SRE engineers to promote ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Drive proactive infrastructure strategies that emphasize reliability, scalability, security, and automation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to integrate DevOps early in system design (“shift left”).
- Establish and enforce best practices around Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security.
- Define and monitor key operational metrics (uptime, deployment frequency, recovery time) to align team priorities with organizational goals.
- Contribute hands-on to infrastructure design and implementation across AWS, including serverless, containerized, and event-driven systems.
- Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to simplify operations and scale infrastructure effectively.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- 3+ years of experience in leadership or team management roles with direct reports.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling AWS-based infrastructure in high-growth SaaS or IoT environments.
- Expertise in CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and observability practices.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in cloud environments (SOC 2, IAM, vulnerability management).
- Hands-on technical skills with Python, Bash scripting, AWS services (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch), and monitoring tools (Sentry, Splunk, Site24x7).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into business context.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and elevate teams beyond task management.
Nice to Have
- AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with serverless, event-driven, or ML/IoT infrastructure is advantageous.
