Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems
- Own the reliability and performance of core platform services
- Collaborate with product and security teams to integrate compliance requirements
- Drive incident response and post-mortem analysis for critical outages
- Optimize deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system capabilities
- Ensure platform security and adherence to compliance standards
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems
- Contribute to architectural decision-making and long-term planning
- Maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Improve observability across services and infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally to align platform capabilities with product goals
- Lead efforts to refactor and modernize legacy components
- Define and enforce service-level objectives and error budgets
- Participate in on-call rotations for production support
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards
