About the Role

Wipro is looking for a DevOps Lead to manage a team focused on automating and streamlining integration and deployment processes. You will enhance coordination across operations, development, and testing functions to drive efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the DevOps team and provide technical solution support to align on continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Design and define the overall DevOps architecture or framework for project or module delivery.
  • Select and decide on the DevOps tools and platforms to be deployed based on customer requirements.
  • Create a tool deployment model for validation, testing, and performance monitoring, aligning resources accordingly.
  • Define and manage the IT infrastructure as required by the supported software code.
  • Manage and drive the DevOps pipeline that supports the application lifecycle across the entire toolchain.
  • Work with the team on coding and scripting to connect code elements with operating systems and production infrastructure.
  • Ensure application configuration onboarding from planning through to the release stage.
  • Integrate security throughout the DevOps lifecycle to maintain cyber risk and data privacy standards.
  • Provide customer support and service on DevOps tools.
  • Address internal and external customer escalations across multiple platforms in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot problems arising from the implementation of DevOps tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis for major incidents or critical issues impacting project timelines, quality, or cost.
  • Develop alternate plans or solutions based on root cause analysis of critical problems.
  • Follow the escalation process when a resolution becomes complicated or stalled.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, share best practices with the team, and motivate team members.
  • Manage team resourcing: forecast talent needs, hire adequate resources, and train direct reports on recruitment.
  • Manage team talent: ensure compliance with onboarding and training standards, build an internal talent pool, and promote diversity in leadership.
  • Manage team performance: set goals, conduct performance reviews and appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues.
  • Drive employee satisfaction and engagement through initiatives, tracking satisfaction scores, challenging the team, and recognizing contributions.
