Nearmap is looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and scale our cloud environments, design robust CI/CD pipelines, and automate operational processes. Your work will be critical to ensuring system reliability and observability across our platform.
What You'll Do
- Build and scale cloud environments running Kubernetes clusters
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Define and manage infrastructure as code
- Automate operational and deployment processes
- Collaborate closely with development and platform teams
- Maintain production systems to ensure reliability and observability
- Contribute to DevOps best practices and process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Around 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering
- Solid experience with public cloud (2–3 years minimum)
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Good scripting and automation skills
- Familiar with CI/CD tools and monitoring solutions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Independent, proactive, and collaborative mindset
Nice to Have
- Cloud security experience (vulnerability scanning, compliance, etc.)
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise environments (SOC2, ISO)
- Knowledge of container security tools
Technical Stack
- AWS, Azure, or GCP (advanced level)
- CI/CD pipelines (design, build, and maintenance)
- Docker & Kubernetes (solid operational experience)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation
- Linux / Unix systems
- Scripting / Automation – Python, Bash, or Go
- Monitoring, observability, logging tools
