A Senior DevOps Engineer is needed to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. The role focuses on leading CI/CD pipeline development, managing Kubernetes environments, and integrating DevSecOps and MLOps practices. This is a full-time, remote position supporting systems that advance space safety and security.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore engineering teams to develop and scale cloud-native infrastructure for a new customer portal and platform modernization
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes environments that support production systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security
- Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform to automate provisioning and ensure consistent configurations across AWS environments
- Create, implement, and refine CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment speed, reliability, and developer efficiency
- Integrate and manage MLOps practices to support deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of machine learning workflows
- Incorporate DevSecOps principles by embedding security controls, compliance measures, and monitoring into the development lifecycle
- Lead automation efforts to minimize manual intervention and improve system reliability and repeatability
- Work closely with platform, engineering, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and enhance system architecture
- Monitor system performance, detect bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve availability and cost efficiency
- Support incident response and conduct root cause analysis, driving long-term fixes and continuous system improvements
Requirements
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience in software development, including scripting and programming for DevOps automation
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and deployment pipeline practices
- Expertise in system administration, including network configuration and troubleshooting
- Extensive experience managing and optimizing Linux systems with attention to security
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience collaborating across technical teams
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with MLOps practices and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
