Slingshot Aerospace is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain our scalable cloud-native infrastructure. This is a full-time, remote role where you will partner with engineering teams to support a new customer portal and ongoing platform refactoring, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
What You'll Do
- Partner with offshore and onshore engineering teams to design, implement, and scale cloud-native infrastructure.
- Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments that power production systems.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform to automate provisioning across AWS.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
- Integrate and operationalize MLOps practices for machine learning workflow management.
- Embed DevSecOps best practices, incorporating security controls and compliance into the development lifecycle.
- Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual processes and increase system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Platform, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and improve architecture.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement improvements.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis efforts, driving long-term fixes.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and practices, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Software Development, including scripting and programming to support automation.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and deployment pipelines.
- Expertise in System Administration, including network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience with Linux systems, including performance optimization and security management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with ML Ops.
