Endava is looking for a Senior DevOps Consultant (Azure) to lead the design and implementation of foundational cloud infrastructure for new and evolving platforms. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll help shape cloud strategy from day one—building secure, scalable Azure environments that enable modern engineering teams to deliver at speed.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement Azure landing zones and cloud foundations
- Set up subscriptions, management groups, policies, and governance models
- Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Implement secure networking (VNets, peering, VPN, ExpressRoute)
- Establish identity and access management with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Embed security and compliance best practices (Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy)
- Enable observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
- Support containerised and serverless workloads (AKS, Functions, Container Apps)
- Advise on scalability, resilience, cost optimisation, and disaster recovery
- Mentor engineers and influence cloud engineering standards
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or DevOps Consultant
- Proven track record of building Azure infrastructure from scratch
- Deep knowledge of Azure core services (compute, storage, networking, IAM)
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- CI/CD expertise (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Solid understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps principles
- Experience with containers and/or Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and a consulting mindset
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
- Experience designing enterprise landing zones
- Platform engineering background
