Technica Mining is hiring a Development Miner

About the Role

The ideal candidate will contribute to the planning and execution of mining projects, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy mining machinery and drilling equipment
  • Assist in the development and optimization of extraction methods
  • Follow strict safety procedures and report potential hazards
  • Support geological survey teams during site assessments
  • Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine inspections
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and site permits
  • Participate in shift rotations as required by project demands
  • Document operational data and report production metrics
  • Assist in the training of new team members on site protocols
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions with timely troubleshooting
  • Adhere to company safety culture and incident prevention practices
  • Transport materials and supplies within the mining site
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with standards
  • Support emergency response procedures when necessary
  • Follow all site-specific operational guidelines and policies
  • Work closely with supervisors to meet production targets
  • Use communication tools to coordinate with team members
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks to ensure readiness
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site

Safety Requirements

  • All candidates must pass a safety orientation program prior to site access.
  • Demonstrated history of compliance with OSHA or equivalent standards is required.
  • Candidates will undergo regular safety training updates during employment.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and walking over uneven terrain required.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment for full shift duration.
