This position plays a central role in advancing development efforts for the San Francisco campus by delivering comprehensive operational support to the development team. The coordinator ensures smooth day-to-day functioning through skilled management of administrative, logistical, and project-based responsibilities that underpin donor relations and fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning and execution of donor events, meetings, and alumni programs, including vendor coordination, logistics, and communications
- Manage data entry, reporting, and analysis within the donor database, ensuring accuracy and integrity across records
- Generate regular reports on gifts, activities, and campaign progress using institutional systems
- Support donor outreach by preparing briefings, updating profiles, and tracking interactions
- Conduct research on prospects and summarize findings to inform engagement strategies
- Oversee office operations, including budget tracking, procurement, expense reporting, and recordkeeping
- Facilitate team productivity through calendar management, meeting preparation, and project coordination
- Maintain compliance with financial policies and assist in resolving budgetary inquiries
- Develop and maintain procedural documentation and training materials for internal use
- Provide high-level administrative support to development staff, including follow-up on donor visits and communications
Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential, along with adaptability in learning new software systems, particularly Salesforce-based platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines. Experience in development, higher education, or a related field is preferred. An associate’s degree or equivalent experience is necessary; a bachelor’s degree is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role operates remotely through 2027, transitioning to a hybrid model with approximately two days per week on campus. Occasional travel to Nashville is expected for onboarding and team gatherings.
