Inventive Food Technology is hiring a Despatch Controller to join our Dandenong South site. In this role, you will process and coordinate domestic, import, and export shipments consistent with regulatory requirements for the movement of material and information.
What You'll Do
- Understand and apply the fundamentals of imports and exports.
- Communicate order information to the broker who arranges documentation and releases to the customer.
- Communicate product delivery information for customer orders, including sample orders.
- Ensure the correct transport provider is chosen based on product type and destination.
- Prepare appropriate documentation.
- Request shipment of material when available.
- Follow steps to receive and check documents, ensuring no discrepancy; you may have to request revised documents.
- Follow the customs clearance process.
- Follow product through transportation and into the warehouse.
- Receive shipment documentation, validate information, and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Interact with the warehouse for appropriate packaging or repackaging to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to all company policies, rules, and regulations and be committed to the company’s quality and continuous improvement.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervision.
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics, or relevant experience.
- 1+ years' experience in Logistics and Supply Chain related work.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools and automated systems.
- Fluent business English communication skills.
- Highly collaborative and a team player.
- Proactive thinking.
