Position Overview
Support critical IT infrastructure for the Air Force Reserve Command as a Desktop Support Technician Level II based in Pittsburgh, PA. This onsite role ensures the stability and functionality of desktop systems, servers, and mainframe applications through proactive maintenance, diagnostics, and user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance for hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications to end users
- Configure, install, upgrade, and repair desktops, laptops, and connected peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve system failures by replicating reported issues and identifying root causes
- Collaborate with network and systems teams to restore services and implement long-term fixes
- Propose improvements to reduce recurring technical problems and enhance system usability
- Stay current with evolving technologies and maintain expert-level knowledge in desktop support
Qualifications
- Proven experience in desktop or IT support roles, including on-site and remote assistance
- Active CompTIA IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
- Current DoD Secret clearance
- Experience supporting large-scale IT projects or network modernization initiatives
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work in person with users and teams in Pittsburgh, PA
Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits
Pay is determined by qualifications, experience, and certifications, with a typical range of $25–$29 per hour.
