This 12-week internship offers a practical introduction to enterprise IT support. As a Desktop Support Specialist Intern, you'll assist with deploying and configuring Windows and macOS devices using Intune and JAMF, support mobile and collaboration platforms, and troubleshoot operating systems and productivity tools including Windows 11, iOS, O365, and Zoom.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure desktop and mobile devices under supervision, ensuring proper setup and security compliance
- Provide technical assistance for operating systems, software, and network-connected peripherals such as printers and conferencing equipment
- Support ticket management and asset tracking using ServiceNow, including documentation and resolution logging
- Assist with user and device provisioning in Azure, following identity and access management practices
- Respond to helpdesk inquiries, resolve common issues, and escalate complex cases appropriately
- Contribute to onboarding processes by preparing hardware and accounts for new employees
- Help maintain knowledge base articles using KCS principles to improve support efficiency
- Follow company policies and ethics standards in all technical and customer-facing activities
Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S.-accredited institution pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027. You should be approaching junior standing or beyond and have at least one academic term remaining after the internship. Relocation to San Jose, CA is required for the duration of the internship and any potential full-time offer post-graduation.
