Ffive is hiring a Desktop Support Specialist Intern

About the Role

The Desktop Support Specialist Intern will work with the IT Desktop Support team at Ffive to provide technical support to employees, assisting in the setup, deployment, and troubleshooting of Windows, macOS, mobile devices, printers, conferencing equipment, and network systems. This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience with tools like Intune, JAMF, ServiceNow, Azure, and Zoom in a supportive, fast-paced environment focused on customer service and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with setting up and deploying Windows devices using Intune and macOS devices using JAMF.
  • Help with the installation and basic troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows 11, macOS, iOS, Android), productivity software, O365, SharePoint, mobile devices, and collaboration tools such as Zoom.
  • Support the tracking of IT assets and learn how ServiceNow is used for tickets and asset management.
  • Learn how to manage user and device accounts in Azure under supervision.
  • Work with team members to provide high-quality support to end users, both remotely and in person.
  • Respond to HelpDesk requests, document actions taken, and elevate issues to other IT staff as appropriate.
  • Participate in deploying new hardware and software and assist with onboarding new users.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional customer experience.
  • Create and modify KB articles and learn how we leverage KCS.
  • Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and Company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the IT team and learning objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be a current student in the United States pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Approaching Junior year (Bachelor’s) or beyond at the time of the internship.
  • Available for a 12-week internship between May and September 2024.
  • Must have at least one additional quarter/semester remaining after completing the internship.
  • Must be willing to relocate to San Jose, CA for the internship and for a subsequent full-time role upon graduation if offered.
  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college or university in the US, planning to graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • This internship and the full-time conversion will be based in San Jose, CA. Interns are expected to relocate.

Compensation: $25.98 - $56.40 per hour, with additional equity in the form of restricted stock units and bonus/incentive compensation.

Work Mode

Hybrid working environment with periodic in-office collaboration required. Location: San Jose, CA.
