The United Football League (UFL) is seeking a Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design bath products, including towels, rugs, and mats, for Revman Brands. You'll focus on increasing design development efficiency and creating critical presentations for internal and external meetings.
What You'll Do
- Design bath and beach products including bath towels, bath rugs, bath mats, and beach towels for assigned Revman brands.
- Work with the Bath Designer to develop all artwork needs (concepts, layouts, repeats, colorings, coordinates) for customer presentations and vendor development packets.
- Increase Design and Product Development capability and capacity within the department to meet increased workload.
- Communicate with vendors to accomplish product designs for Revman Market Collections and private label to meet deadlines.
- Create design specs and standards for production of active projects with vendors and provide direction and references.
- Maintain an accurate design file system of ongoing projects.
- Update the Product Manager with current status of design projects and coordinate with Product Tech as needed.
- Work with the Bath Designer to produce Revman Market Bath Collections and rolling development to meet buyer's quarterly timeframes.
- Meet pre-production deadlines for 'SOLD' items, including reviewing and approving samples to make shipping deadlines.
- Address all inter-office duties, customer interactions, and outside vendor and licensor communication in a timely fashion.
- Provide product designs and meeting materials/presentations for internal and external meetings by working closely with Sales and Merchandising staff.
- Maintain awareness of current design trends through industry publications, magazines, and customer visits to avoid design duplication.
- Review development samples and communicate revisions and approvals to the mill clearly.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BFA in Design/Textile Design or a Design-related major (e.g., Textiles, Product Development, Home Fashions, or Apparel).
- One to two years of Home Fashions experience with CAD and related home product development fields.
- Strong working knowledge and proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of Google Drive and Google applications.
- Documented experience in the Design field from both college and work experience.
- Strong color-sense and knowledge of current trends and lifestyle brand aesthetics.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to effectively communicate to all company levels.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience in product design and specification for manufacture.
- Ability to work within a team on all projects.
Nice to Have
- Experience with weaving and general knowledge of how fabrics and materials are woven and dyed.
