About the Role

AccorHotel is hiring a Design System Manager to own the vision and evolution of our design system within the e-commerce tribe. Reporting to the Design System Lead, you will manage the entire lifecycle of the library used by numerous product teams, from creation and documentation to maintenance and adoption.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the vision for a design system covering visual style, UI components, and other design-related topics.
  • Provide feedback to designers, suggest trade-offs, and challenge ideas to avoid inefficient solutions.
  • Ensure the development and consistent integration of effective components across the entire product portfolio.
  • Explain the system’s mission, library, and processes to Product Managers, content specialists, QA, designers, and development teams.
  • Identify, monitor, and report on system usage and ensure the expansion of its scope.
  • Manage the backlog and roadmap of library elements and continuously maintain and update the system.
  • Build the Design System vision, guidelines, and OKRs with the team.
  • Co-build OKRs and roadmaps with Design and Product teams.
  • Ensure Content Designers are aligned with and understand their product visions and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Tech leads to break down silos and identify cross-functional synergies.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (post-graduation & internships/apprenticeships) as a Design System Manager with several significant experiences.
  • A degree from a top Engineering or Business School, a Computer Science background, or a specialized Master’s in Design.
  • Experience on similar challenges for B2C platforms.
  • Proven long-term collaboration with PM/PO and developers within agile squads.
  • Experience designing consumer and B2B applications across desktop, web, and mobile.
  • Experience as a front-end developer building modern JavaScript-based web applications or as a digital art director.
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
  • Experience in mobile development using native or web-to-native tools and frameworks.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, etc.
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts and align the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams to create innovative solutions.
