What You’ll Do
As the Lead Web Designer, you’ll lead the creation of digital experiences that connect users with powerful SaaS solutions. You’ll design landing pages, campaign hubs, and interactive web content that prioritize clarity, usability, and conversion. Using data and user insights, you’ll develop wireframes, task flows, and interactive prototypes—ranging from low to high fidelity—to test and refine ideas quickly.
You’ll produce detailed UI specifications and design assets for developers, ensuring clean handoffs with precise documentation. Working within Figma, Creative Cloud, and Brandfolder, you’ll help scale and maintain the marketing design system, keeping brand consistency across all touchpoints. You’ll also build and manage web content directly in Drupal, ensuring designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll work closely with front-end developers, content strategists, and SEO specialists to ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance. You’ll partner with motion designers to integrate lightweight animations using LottieFiles and JSON, enhancing engagement without compromising speed. Your input will support user research, testing, and information architecture efforts, and you’ll advocate for best practices in design and production workflows.
What We’re Looking For
You have at least 8 years of experience designing for complex, data-driven web applications, with a focus on B2B or SaaS platforms and marketing websites. Your portfolio shows a strong command of typography, layout, and interaction design, with a clear emphasis on solving difficult problems simply. You’re fluent in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and you understand how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript bring designs to life. Experience with Zeplin, Drupal, and JSON implementation is essential.
You communicate clearly across teams, document your work thoroughly, and stay organized in fast-moving environments. You’re passionate about human-centered design and enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and improving processes. Familiarity with digital marketing principles, analytics tools, and SEO best practices is a strong advantage.
How You’ll Grow
You’ll have access to professional development resources, including LinkedIn Learning, and opportunities to expand your impact across the organization. A monthly stipend supports your productivity, and you can work remotely from any registered location in Costa Rica. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage for you and your family, generous parental leave, flexible time off, and a dedicated volunteer day.
