Oscar Health is hiring a Dental Vision Actuary to support pricing across several ACA markets and lead efforts to maintain our core pricing and plan design modeling. You will be a critical partner to Market P&L, Insurance Product, and other analytic functions, providing consultation on region-specific pricing, network, and product strategy as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Maintain core pricing and plan design models, ensuring consistency and standardization across team users.
- Be a main contributor in developing and submitting regulatory filings, and in forming recommendations for strategic pricing decisions.
- Provide an actuarial viewpoint across cross-functional teams for Oscar's ACA-compliant Individual and Small Group markets.
- Promote and shape Oscar actuarial best practices regarding automation and documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships, rapport, and communication lines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Aid in onboarding analysts by integrating them into existing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
What We're Looking For
- College degree in a STEM field.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or on the track to become one.
- 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
Nice to Have
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of health insurance concepts and nuances.
