Sare Recycling is hiring a Demolition Supervisor to lead and oversee critical demolition operations. In this role, you will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient removal of materials from vessels and ground sections, with a core focus on training, safety, and maintaining an orderly worksite.
What You'll Do
- Supervise the removal of building materials like fiberglass insulation, wood flooring, concrete, and electrical wiring from vessels.
- Remove and sort scrap metal, copper piping, furniture, and ballast tank counterweights.
- Conduct weekly safety inspections and hold safety conversations with team members.
- Train employees through one-on-one sessions, tailgate meetings, and demonstrations.
- Organize materials and work areas to maximize space and maintain effective housekeeping.
- Clean up the work area at the end of each shift and inspect to ensure cleanup is complete.
- Dispose of waste materials appropriately to uphold hygienic and safe conditions.
- Communicate using email, bulletins, shipping documents, and work assignments.
- Perform any other tasks necessary to assist in the production process.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to pass a medical physical, drug test, background check, and credit check.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and understand written or oral direction.
- Skill in using basic math as required by the job.
- An understanding of the metal market to negotiate pricing, delivery, and production demands.
- Possess interpersonal skills to gain support from both workforce and clientele.
Nice to Have
- High school diploma, GED, or acceptable foreign education.
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills.
