You will manage the day-to-day direction of the project team and provide key consultative support to business partners on the use and integration of data.
What You'll Do
- Manage the business intelligence, reporting, and correspondence portfolio for the business and stakeholders.
- Partner with the Product Manager and Project Management Organization on budgeting, informing them of hours spent on core business goals.
- Coordinate resources across all areas to ensure project delivery.
- Communicate, share, and drive the business intelligence vision with each operational management team.
- Provide consistent, accurate, and timely status reporting to internal customers.
- Conduct regularly scheduled product reviews to ensure stakeholders are receiving the right data at the right time.
- Deliver reporting, ad hoc, and strategic deliverables with recommendations and interpretation.
- Ensure adherence to processes and performance metrics.
- Facilitate meetings and present reporting and data solutions to operational counterparts and external clients.
- Recommend reporting process improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate and build consensus.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A four-year bachelor’s degree, technical vocational training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer sciences.
- Minimum of five to six years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
- Strong analytics or reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of project and portfolio management for multiple, complex client initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and adhere to strict project timeframes.
- Strong working knowledge in business matters, finance, planning, forecasting, and personnel.
- Complete understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle methodology.
- Understanding of business intelligence design, development, theories, principles, and practices.
- Understanding of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Proven written and oral communication skills and effective customer liaison, including leadership, coordination, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and management.
- Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Intermediate to expert experience with Microsoft Office, including communication tools such as Outlook and SharePoint.
- Ability to foster and maintain strong trust relationships with IT colleagues, internal customers, and external clients.
- Strong ability to develop project briefs, business cases, project plans, and proposals, including gathering requirements and estimating resources, time, and cost.
- Ability to prioritize and execute projects in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to lead a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project.
- Ability to establish and ensure adherence to strict project timeframes.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and handle other components.
- Ability to accommodate occasional travel.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
