Jobgether is looking for a Databricks Platform Cloud Engineer to manage, automate, and optimize a modern data analytics platform. You will ensure data teams operate efficiently and securely at scale by leveraging cloud infrastructure and DevOps best practices. This role blends hands-on administration with automation through Infrastructure as Code.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain the Databricks platform, including users, access controls, clusters, workspaces, and jobs.
- Automate platform provisioning and environment management using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Oversee platform security and compliance, implementing policies via SCIM, IAM, Unity Catalog, and SSO.
- Monitor platform performance, logging, and cost efficiency using tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Manage networking and cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to support efficient, secure, and high-performing workflows.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in Databricks platform administration, including Admin Console, REST API, and CLI.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code and DevOps skills: Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Proficiency in platform security and governance, including SCIM, IAM, Unity Catalog, and SSO.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and logging APIs.
- Ability to manage and optimize complex cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in remote, cross-functional teams.
