Golden Wolf, LLC is looking for a Database Administrator to be responsible for optimizing, securing, and maintaining our enterprise data systems. You will ensure performance, availability, and scalability for mission-critical environments, collaborating closely with development teams and business stakeholders to support innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain Azure, SQL Server, and other DB platforms like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including CMMC, HIPAA, and Federal Contract standards.
- Design and manage backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code.
- Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
- Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues.
- Document processes, standards, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA with databases such as Azure, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
- Experience with database monitoring tools like OEM and SQL Profiler.
- Familiarity with cloud database services including AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Oracle Cloud.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to BUILDER – (CERL Facility Software).
- Experience with government contracts.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
