Tiger Analytics is hiring a Senior / Lead Data Scientist to lead end-to-end model development and deployment. In this role, you will apply advanced data science techniques to solve complex business challenges in logistics and operations, translating them into robust analytical solutions.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with business partners to develop innovative solutions using advanced techniques.
- Apply data science to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks across logistics and operations.
- Build scalable data pipelines and analytical models using PySpark for large-scale datasets.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models for demand forecasting, routing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, product, and engineering.
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly through data storytelling and visualizations.
- Share your passion for Data Science with the broader enterprise community and help develop long-term processes and standards.
- Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
- Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, or related roles.
- Experience designing, building, and optimizing forecasting models (time series, demand forecasting).
- Strong programming skills in Python with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn).
- Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Hands-on experience in experimentation, diagnostics, and evaluation with imperfect data.
- Experience developing and tuning tree-based models (Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience developing models from inception to deployment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MLOps / DevOps.
- Experience supporting merchandising, assortment planning, or supply-chain decisions in a large enterprise.
