NielsenIQ is looking for a Data Scientist to join our International Data Science team. In this role, you will serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for the Product Design & Enhancement (PDE) team, bridging global and local markets to launch and iterate consumer measurement products that transform how we understand shopping behavior.
What You'll Do
- Act as the core liaison, leading the deployment of new products across markets to ensure system stability, data quality, and continuous performance optimization.
- Accurately translate global measurement methodologies into scalable, automated, and technically sound solutions tailored to local market needs.
- Utilize deep expertise in consumer behavior, panel data, and analytics to generate key insights that drive product optimization and business strategy.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Socio-economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FMCG, Retail, Consumer Research, or a related market research industry.
- Strong aptitude for data analysis with a solid foundation in statistics and the ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large-scale data sources.
- Excellent time management, coordination, and project management skills with an end-to-end perspective.
- Experience in one or more of the following: statistical modeling, variance estimation, trend analysis, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques, automation, or generalization.
- Proficiency in Python for data extraction, cleaning, root cause analysis, and visualization.
- Experience with SQL and working with large-scale databases.
- Domain expertise in at least one of: Demography, Sampling, Statistical Modeling, or Survey Design Practices.
- A deep understanding of consumer behavior, panel research, and consumer metrics.
- Strong coding proficiency and deep technical skills to design and implement robust, efficient solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, adept at agile methodologies, results-oriented, and passionate about using data to advance products.
- A flexible and creative thinker capable of solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with e-receipt capture methodologies; familiarity with the local Taiwan e-receipt market is a significant plus.
