The Data Scientist at Zillow Group will collaborate with Shopping Product teams to improve the home discovery journey for buyers by delivering data-driven insights, leading experimentation, and analyzing customer funnel trends. This role is central to shaping product strategy and has significant visibility across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Guide the product roadmap in the shopping product area
- Identify areas of opportunity using data
- Publish opportunities within the customer funnel to stakeholders
- Support experimentation when features go into testing
- Understand trends for core metrics in the shopping area
- Drive timely investigations if metric trends require attention
- Deliver insights through insight analysis, causal modeling, and experimentation
- Partner with product and engineering teams to bring actionable business recommendations into the business
What We're Looking For
- Strong SQL and Python/R experience
- Experience generating analytical insights and driving business impact
- Strong experimentation skills and statistical knowledge
- Propensity modeling or causal inference modeling techniques
Nice to Have
- Some exposure to Data Viz like Tableau or something similar
- Experience in online and offline experimentation
