Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a Data Scientist to unlock insights from data sets using IoT, machine learning, and AI to solve global challenges across the private and public sectors. You will work directly with clients to understand their needs and turn disparate data points into objective answers that inform critical decisions.
What You'll Do
- Use analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact.
- Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs.
- Dig into data-rich environments to find pieces of information puzzles.
- Develop algorithms and systems using the right combination of tools and frameworks.
- Turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions.
- Provide a deep understanding of the data, what it means, and how it can be used.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience with data analysis, including recognizing and investigating data quality, interpreting data types, and discerning structure and relationships.
- 1+ years of experience with data visualization, including creating understandable charts with basic design principles, and application development and design.
- 1+ years of experience with data pipeline engineering, including executing data transformation stages, and database normalization.
- Experience in building or maintaining data pipelines.
- Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry or Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements and work closely with different business groups.
- Ability to be self-motivated and pay strict attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
