Join Airbnb as a Data Scientist and become part of a collaborative team dedicated to building innovative products for our global community of guests and hosts. You will play a key role in creating user-friendly, optimized tools that empower hosts and help guests discover memorable stays.

What You'll Do

Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics to drive collaboration and innovation.
Contribute directly to launching new data-driven products to help the Airbnb guest and host community.
Write software in Python, SQL, or R to model, simulate, and measure the impact of new product features.
Analyze structured or unstructured data to uncover meaningful insights and craft actionable proposals.
Present findings and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
Build data products from the ground up and evaluate feature impact using experimental and observational methods.
Partner with stakeholders to develop and optimize product features.
Ensure the team stays data-driven by surfacing meaningful insights that inform decisions and strategy.
Rigorously quantify the effects of our latest innovations through a variety of measurement approaches.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience with a BS or masters degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.
Experience with experimentation and causal observational analysis.
Experience partnering closely with product, engineering, and design to enable data-driven product development.
Experience prototyping, building, and scaling derived data assets.
Strong coding skills in SQL and either Python or R.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Work authorization (if applicable).
Travel requirements (if applicable).

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with geospatial data, LLMs, or NLP approaches.
