Micron is hiring a Data Science Manager

We are looking for a Data Science Manager to direct a team responsible for designing, developing, and programming methods to analyze unstructured 'big data' sources. You will generate actionable insights that support our relentless focus on customers, technology leadership, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Direct team activities for the design, development, and programming of methods to analyze big data sources.
• Oversee the development of software programs and algorithms to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large data sets from multiple sources.
• Identify and communicate meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources to key stakeholders.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related computational field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Data Science or a closely related field.
• Proven experience using analytic-oriented languages such as Python or R.
• Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and applying big data technologies and script languages, including Java and C/C++.
• Proven experience in mentorship and guidance for the efficient and technical development of team members.
• Knowledge of project and program management principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical content and analytical insights in a clear and concise manner.
