Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Data Science Analyst to transform complex, unstructured data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. In this role, you will leverage advanced statistical methods, research, and modeling to improve operational efficiency and support critical business initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Mine and analyze complex and unstructured data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Develop and apply algorithms or models to key business metrics to improve operational performance.
- Provide actionable insights and reports to support decision-making across teams.
- Conduct research and analysis to answer business questions and solve operational challenges.
- Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
- Communicate findings effectively through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical thinking and statistical knowledge.
- Proficiency in technical tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Python, R, SQL, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle basic issues independently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting findings.
- Ability to identify, research, and obtain relevant information to inform analysis.
