Celestica is seeking a Data Reporting Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage large data systems to develop user dashboards and applications for monitoring and assessment. You will engage with manufacturing and customer-facing teams to understand reporting needs and work with data owners to create the necessary information structures.
What You'll Do
- Understand required information reporting layouts and define information display definitions from a user perspective.
- Collaborate with development, production, service, and customer teams to develop defined requirements.
- Engage with the corporate IT team to understand data sources, structures, and protocols needed for automated access.
- Collaborate with technical teams responsible for data generation and storage to ensure proper data use.
- Develop automated reports and dashboards to monitor performance, drive corrective action, and report improvement.
- Establish user feedback methods to evaluate report effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to establish requirements and evaluate results.
- Engage with peer engineering and production teams to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Engage with various SMEs throughout the organization on project-related responsibilities to execute required tasks.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's overall technical direction.
- Employ innovative approaches to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Collaborate across departments to implement robust, cost-effective solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging industry trends and technologies to enhance process capabilities.
- Engage as necessary with internal and external customers, addressing concerns and presenting solutions.
- Conduct technical reviews, process demonstrations, and progress presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and senior leaders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Three to six years of relevant experience in software or data application development.
- Ability to understand data structures, automated reporting methods, and data security.
- Ability to develop automated reports and applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript, SQL.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Data Visualization Tools: Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plans.
- Demonstrate 'People & Team Leadership Behaviors' as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS or Azure is a plus.
- The preferred candidate will be located in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW).

Benefits & Compensation
