Farmers Insurance is hiring a Data Product Owner to partner with business teams in designing and implementing complex, data-centric systems that enable key outcomes. You will perform work independently or with minimal guidance, depending on task complexity, within a high-performance culture focused on results.
What You'll Do
- Develop complex value-based analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements.
- Create detailed documentation and business plans addressing stakeholder needs.
- Liaise between IT and Product Management for data solutions.
- Work with business leaders to identify key challenges and resolve them to improve organizational performance.
- Use an advanced understanding of data elements, structures, and standards in financial services to balance regulatory needs with business requirements.
- Develop and implement complex enterprise-wide data integration strategies using data-marts and data warehouse applications.
- Continuously improve data platforms, dashboards, and reports to meet changing business demands.
- Consult on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and training.
- Manage data from multiple sources and use project management skills to complete complex projects.
- Transmit data and proactively work to ensure data quality.
- Troubleshoot data issues and devise creative, effective ways to avoid or mitigate them.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Advanced experience with: SQL or similar, dimensional modeling, pipeline orchestration, building data pipelines to transform data, and BI visualizations.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents.
- A drive to acquire knowledge in your area of specialty.

- Compensation ranges vary by location. Examples: CA Only: $115,275 - $196,130; CO Only: $108,375 - $169,070; WA Only: $108,375 - $205,750.
