Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a Danaher company, is hiring a Data Engineer to join our Corporate Global Procurement Team. This remote position is responsible for the integrity, optimization, and upkeep of our procurement systems databases and ETL processes. You will be a key contributor to our data infrastructure, ensuring reliable data flow and quality.
What You'll Do
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Databases and ETL processes.
- Investigate, improve, and maintain data quality.
- Document database processes, configurations, and best practices for maintainability.
- Leverage Azure resources such as Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps to manage ETL tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and data analysts to integrate and optimize database solutions.
- Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and ensure data security and integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent critical thinking skills, a data-curious mindset, and strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years in a data analyst or data engineering role.
- Proven experience as an SQL Developer, specifically with T-SQL.
- Solid understanding of database design principles, indexing, and normalization.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services.
- Experience with database migration projects.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
