Sopra Steria is hiring a Data Engineer to join the Data Factory in Paris. In this role, you will focus on data valorization for a major state financial actor, participating across the entire data chain—from understanding business needs to implementing processing and exposure solutions.
What You'll Do
- Understand business needs and translate them into data engineering solutions.
- Implement data ingestion solutions (batch and/or streaming) in a Cloud context.
- Structure the DataLake and implement data governance and security processes.
- Process data up to business exposure.
- Implement and supervise the CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct technology watch with our partners and implement Prototype Design, Proof of Concept, or MVP for client ideation.
What We're Looking For
- Degree from an engineering school or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Participation in a Data project (Big Data, BI).
- Mastery of a programming language applied to data analysis (SQL, Scala, R, Python, Java).
- Mastery of distributed data processing (Spark, Pyspark, Hadoop).
- Mastery of a data streaming framework (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Attracted to the digital world, Cloud, and innovative technologies.
- Good analytical mind, curious, passionate, and sense of teamwork in an Agile organization (Scrum or SAFE).

Work Mode
This is a hybrid role based in Paris, with a telework agreement to work remotely up to 2 days per week depending on assignments.
