Join JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Senior Lead Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping data engineering strategy. You will lead data engineering efforts and drive impact across multiple technology teams and data product offerings within HR, Employee Experience, CAO, and EP technology domains. This position leverages deep engineering expertise to lead complex designs and initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on delivery of data pipeline and architecture solutions for reuse across multiple businesses.
- Be proficient in all aspects of the data production pipeline driven by x-as-Code.
- Incorporate trends in test-driven and data-driven development to build modular, auto-repeatable framework designs.
- Transform traditional HR/EX systems into modern, scalable data product offerings.
- Perform as a key member of data engineering scrum teams to achieve functional technology objectives.
- Partner with Product and Architecture to make strategic decisions influencing team resources, budget, and operations.
- Be accountable for SDLC, design patterns, and upskilling engineers.
- Uplift and modernize data platforms to drive Stability, Timeliness, Completeness, Quality, Security, FinOps, Operational Excellence, and Ease of consumption.
- Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success.
- Advance and support the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
What We're Looking For
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists and software engineers to manage and solve complex technical items.
- Hands-on Data Engineering development, coding, AI-code tools and techniques, testing, and automation.
- Experience with AI Developer Automation Tools and BI Consumption tools like Sigma, Genie, and Tableau.
- Experience with Governance using Unity Catalogue and Data Access Governance with Immuta.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams of technologists.
- Experience dealing with internet-scale volume and size of data.
- Experience in Big Data technologies handling complex data processing requirements.
- Experience building data pipelines and platforms in cloud environments (AWS S3, Databricks, GCP, Azure).
Nice to Have
- Prior Financial Services experience is preferred.
