Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion and Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Composer to move and process digital and media data into Snowflake.
- Set up and oversee data ingestion from multiple sources, including customer data platforms like RudderStack, third-party APIs for advertising and analytics, and raw data feeds, ensuring compatibility with advanced tagging systems and readiness for platforms like Amplitude.
- Write advanced SQL queries in Snowflake to clean, enhance, and structure data for efficient use by reporting tools and analytical applications.
- Design and deploy data modeling approaches such as star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data vaults to align with business intelligence needs.
- Ensure the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of cloud-based data systems across GCP and Snowflake environments.
- Establish strong data validation processes, quality controls, and automated monitoring to guarantee accurate, complete, and timely data delivery, especially for analytics platforms like Amplitude.
- Partner with analytics and visualization teams using tools such as Tableau and Amplitude to refine data models for optimal reporting performance.
- Document data workflows, schemas, models, and dictionaries thoroughly while following data governance policies, including compliance with GDPR and CCPA privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with analysts, scientists, product managers, architects, and client teams to convert business needs into technical data solutions, while keeping current on advancements in data engineering and AI/ML data processing.
