iRESTORE is seeking a Data Engineer to lead and optimize the company's business intelligence infrastructure, including data warehouse, reporting, and modeling. This contract-to-hire role will empower data-driven decision-making across departments by building scalable data solutions that support growth, performance optimization, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Take technical ownership of the team’s data stack, including implementation of tools for tracking, reporting, and automation
- Implement and maintain integrations such as tracking pixels, server-to-server (S2S) connections, and event tracking systems to support marketing campaigns
- Build and maintain pipelines for real-time reporting on spend and performance across platforms
- Design and implement attribution models to measure and improve campaign effectiveness
- Act as the technical point of contact (POC) for the User Acquisition team, troubleshooting issues related to tracking, naming conventions, URLs, and APIs — including coordination with external partners
- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve the User Acquisition team’s productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support marketing initiatives and resolve technical challenges
- Build pipelines for inventory forecasting across DTC (Shopify) and marketplaces (Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc.), supporting Operations and Logistics teams in marketing-aligned planning
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of proven experience in data engineering, preferably within eCommerce or technology industries
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data warehouse modeling
- Hands-on experience managing cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake or any other MPP
- Proficiency in Python for automation and data manipulation
- Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Looker/Tableau/Power BI
- Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems, including APIs, tracking pixels, server-to-server (S2S) integrations, and event tracking systems
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and marketing tools such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Google Ads, and Meta Ads
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have
- Experience working with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms beyond BigQuery / Snowflake
- Proven ability to work effectively in fully remote and distributed team environments, leveraging async communication, autonomy, and collaboration across time zones
