Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for a Data Center IT Proximity Services Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote support within our data center facilities in Singapore. In this role, you will execute standard operating procedures and collaborate closely with clients to maintain high service levels and meet expectations.
What You'll Do
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for all tasks.
- Collect customer requests and data, attending to phone calls, emails, and support tickets.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and create tickets for Level 2 support.
- Provide product information and solve common problems like hardware/software verification and setup.
- Perform hardware installations (rack/stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing.
- Perform hardware decommissioning and cable removal.
- Provide remote hands support including power cycles, physical inspections, component swaps, hardware upgrades, cable testing, handling storage media, and entering troubleshooting commands.
- Prepare and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments, verifying packing lists against purchase details.
- Support Service Management processes by creating, updating, and closing tickets for Service Requests, Incidents, and Changes.
- Oversee and support Physical Access processes to maintain facility security.
- Actively support Power Maintenance Events (PME) by managing their execution.
- Oversee, track, maintain, and order adequate sparing, cabinets, and consumables.
- Perform physical audits and ensure the accuracy of the Service Management database.
- Handle tape backup media and prepare for offsite storage if applicable.
- Collaborate and maintain business relationships to meet and exceed client expectations for both business-as-usual and project activities.
- Train and provide oversight to improve service levels, mentor others, and suggest training improvements.
- Perform additional job duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level IT service delivery experience.
- Experience with Microsoft server products.
- Basic knowledge of PC and Server Hardware as well as networking.
- Basic understanding of Data Center Power schemes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
