Telespazio Belgium is looking for a Data Analytics Support Engineer to join the Evaluation Team at ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands. In this role, you will provide critical analytical support, data processing, and research activities for ESA, working with data to generate insights and build applications that support ambitious space missions.
What You'll Do
- Plan and schedule evaluations and ad-hoc projects.
- Conduct research activities related to economy and space economy topics.
- Perform qualitative analyses using approaches like interviews, surveys, focus groups, content analysis, and peer-reviews.
- Maintain and further develop the Digital Twin and data models available in ESA and DG-AE, leveraging IT tools, SQL, and data integration.
- Prepare, clean, and validate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, SharePoint, and Cloud.
- Analyze data to discover patterns, generate insights, and make recommendations.
- Build data visualization solutions using Power BI or other tools.
- Create information retrieval applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and embedded models.
- Deliver advanced analytics from structured and unstructured data sources, leveraging AI, ML models (e.g., PyTorch), ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Hugging Face transformers), Prompt Engineering, Python, fine-tuning, and model optimization.
- Provide analytical reports and research in various formats (documents, papers, datasets, presentations, dashboards) as requested.
- Support meetings with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to the Agency.
- Collaborate with other ESA functions to expand the model and develop services and deliverables.
- Support other team activities, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
What We're Looking For
- A University Master’s degree in a related field.
- Eligibility for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration.
