Responsibilities
- Construct and expand the metric layer
- Create and maintain dbt models
- Contribute to semantic layer definitions including metrics, dimensions, and relationships
- Ensure key business metrics and metric hierarchies are consistent and correct
- Implement analytical logic for root cause analysis and metric insights
- Develop root cause analysis workflows with baseline comparisons and companion metric analysis
- Convert business questions into scalable analytical patterns
- Enable metric consumption across various tools
- Support metric usage in different BI or analytical tools
- Build reusable logic to prevent duplication across tools
- Prepare for a future API-based metric serving layer
- Collaborate with business and product stakeholders
- Work closely with sales, product, underwriting, claims, experience, and other business teams
- Translate ambiguous questions into structured metrics and actionable insights
- Improve data quality and governance
- Define and enforce metric definitions, dimension standards, and data contracts
- Debug issues across upstream pipelines, semantic layer, and analytical outputs
Compensation
Base salary ranges from $77,283 to $179,048 depending on location and factors like experience and skills; includes competitive compensation, incentive bonus programs, and 401(k) with company match.

Flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States for most positions
