Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients from (Corporate) Venture Capital and Investment Firms to design and implement data architectures that support portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and investment decision-making.
- Establish end-to-end data flows, from data ingestion and transformation to analytics and visualization.
- Develop data models, support maintenance and implementation of data pipelines and data warehouses.
- Build and optimize interactive dashboards and reports (primarily in Power BI or similar tools) to provide actionable insights into investment portfolios and venture performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business metrics and KPIs, ensuring that data analytics aligns with strategic goals.
- Continuously improve data quality, documentation, and governance across projects.
- Participate in the full project lifecycle — from data architecture and proof of concept to implementation and continuous optimization.
- Support and mentor junior team members when needed and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the analytics community at V_labs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report creation) or comparable BI tools.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Completed IT-related education or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent English skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, or similar modern data platforms is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with investment or financial data (e.g., portfolio analytics, performance metrics) is an advantage.
- German is a plus.
