Hyundai USA is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Strategy and Analysis Team within its North American Quality Center (NAQC). In this role, you will analyze internal and external data to identify trends, develop reports, and deliver actionable insights that drive quality improvements for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles across the continent.

What You'll Do

Understand and follow the department’s business model, strategic direction, and mission.
Utilize internal and external data to identify and break down automotive quality problems, delivering clear targets for investigation teams.
Employ text mining tools for topic generation and enrich datasets with generated features for classification tasks.
Maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
Complete ad hoc data insights and requests to support company goals.
Work with a moderate level of autonomy to achieve objectives.
Communicate results and business impacts within the team and to management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global affiliates.
Engage in on-the-job learning and follow best data practices.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, data science, computer science, business, math, or economics is preferred.
Experience for Engineer level I and II in data analysis or a related field.
A solid foundation in data analysis and statistics.
Proficiency in SQL.
Proficiency in MS Office, specializing in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
A strong analytical mindset.
The ability to recognize end-user needs and create reproducible solutions efficiently.
The skill to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

A Master's degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field.
Automotive industry experience.
Prior experience with automotive survey data.
Understanding of vehicle systems.
An Alteryx, Tableau, or Python Data Science certification.
Proficiency in Python or R.
Prior experience with data analytics tools, text mining tools, and data visualization software.
