About the Role

Happy Money is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Trading Analytics team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards, datasets, and reporting tools that power company-wide decision-making. As the primary steward of the Superset BI platform, you’ll manage reporting infrastructure and ensure scalable access to insights.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of dashboards and reporting assets within Superset, including design, development, documentation, and user access.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Trading, Product, and Engineering to define and deliver KPIs, metrics, and data visualizations.
  • Build and maintain SQL-based datasets and derived tables to power reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain analyses around trading performance, pricing accuracy, and KPI reporting.
  • Monitor the health and quality of data assets across pipelines and reporting layers.
  • Support internal users in interpreting data, self-serving insights, and building lightweight reporting artifacts.
  • Perform QA on datasets, validate dashboard accuracy, and respond to ad hoc analytical requests.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and improved reporting workflows.
  • Monitor report usage and contribute to BI governance and best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a BI, analytics, or data analyst role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (preferably MySQL or Athena/Trino).
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Superset or similar BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Experience with Python for data analysis, QA automation, and building lightweight applications (e.g., Streamlit, Dash).
  • Experience working in cloud data environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience working with Git and familiarity with Git-based workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sports, trading, or fintech data environments.
  • Exposure to real-time or streaming data tools (e.g., Kafka).
  • Familiarity with OLAP systems and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with data engineers, product managers, and end users.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary starting at $115,000.

This is a remote position. Candidates based in San Francisco, CA are welcome.
