We are building a documentary-style YouTube channel that explores the craft behind sound, audio, and music—why things sound the way they do, how audio shapes storytelling, and what makes the sonic world so fascinating. As the YouTube Assistant Video Editor, you will support the lead editor and grow into owning fully polished, 10–20 minute episodes that are engaging and purposeful.
What You'll Do
- Organize and sync footage in DaVinci Resolve
- Prepare interview timelines and multicam sequences
- Clean, label, and structure project timelines
- Manage media, assets, and project files in Dropbox
- Prepare b-roll and graphics placeholders
- Assist with exports and project organization
- Edit story segments from interviews
- Structure explanations clearly for a general audience
- Integrate b-roll and supporting visuals
- Maintain pacing and narrative clarity
- Edit full 10–20 minute documentary-style episodes
- Refine rough cuts into polished final edits
- Craft strong openings for audience retention
- Manage episodes through finishing and final export
- Prepare videos for publishing on YouTube
